Many fans reacted to the news in a positive way, saying that the style of the box reminds them of the original Xbox box art design. There was a great number of Twitter users who said that the box art made them even more excited to purchase the console when it is released, though some were still attempting to hold themselves back from buying the new console on the first day of its release.
However, there were also quite a few complaints about the Xbox Series X box art design. Some were saying that the box was incredibly big for the console, to which other fans pointed out that the Xbox Series X was larger than previous Xbox consoles like theXbox One. Others felt that the zoomed in image of the console’s grill did not look visually appealing and created a few memes based on its art. Despite these comments, the gaming community’s response to this box art has been mostly positive.
After these recent announcements from Microsoft, many are wondering how much longerSonywill wait before releasing any more information on the upcoming PS5. With the price, release date, and box art all out in the open for the Xbox Series X, there is not much more to come out of Microsoft other than the actual console when November rolls around. However, Sony is still leaving fans in the dark when it comes to many of these details surrounding its next-gen console, and it will be interesting to see when that information will be released to the gaming public.
