Darth Maul (Star Wars)
Despite two decades having passed,theStar Warsprequel trilogy gets a lot of flack. Granted, some of this is deserved, but the movies were nowhere near as bad as some people like to make out. For one thing, they featured some fantastic villains, though none are quite as memorable as Darth Maul. With his double-edged lightsaber and aggressive fighting style, it’s difficult not to enjoy his fight with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, particularly with Duel of the Fates blaring in the background. Sadly, Duel of the Fates isn’t inWWE 2K23, but Darth Maul now is thanks to creator Matttg.

Bruce Willis appeared in plenty of great moviesthroughout his distinguished career, butDie Hardis arguably the pick of the bunch. The chemistry between his John McClane character and Alan Rickman’s Hans Gruber is fantastic and helped to make the movie one of the best and most memorable action movies of all time. It also helped to catapult Willis into stardom, transforming him from a small-screen favorite into one of the greatest action heroes of the day. With that in mind, this fantastic John McClane CaW serves as a fitting tribute.

Badass one-linersand huge explosions punctuated the action movies of the eighties and nineties, but things began to change around the turn of the century. Movie-goers began to crave action heroes who were just as deadly with their hands as they were with a weapon, which is where John Wick really excels. Played by Keanu Reeves, John Wick is the epitome of badass and has one of the highest body counts in the history of cinema. He can’t kill his opponents inWWE 2K23, but he can kick their asses, as those who download him will quickly find out.

Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)
There are quite a fewHarry Potter-inspired CaWs inWWE 2K23already, but most of them are either too generic or too bland. RANDYGLIMMERSIX’s Luna Lovegood is anything but though, managing to perfectly capture the loopy nature of the character. It’s also nice to see creators showing a bit of love to some of the series' secondary characters, given that most choose to focus solely on the three main heroes. Those looking for something a little different should therefore enjoy this custom Superstar, particularly if they’re fans oftheHarry Potterbooks and movies.

Jim Carrey starred in a lot of great movies back in the nineties, withDumb and Dumberarguably being the highlight.The Maskis still a fantastic movie though, with Carrey’s performance as Stanley Ipkiss and his green-faced alter ego managing to hit all the right notes. JTsavage has done an excellent job of recreating the latter inWWE 2K23, not just when it comes to The Mask’s iconic yellow suit look, but also his French-inspired attire.

Not only did Snake Plissken inspire the character of Solid Snake in theMetal Gearseries, but he’s also one ofthe coolest action heroes of all time. A lot of creators have attempted to create non-human Superstars inWWE 2K23, but there aren’t too many who have been able to pull it off. Whether SpecialistMonsterESP really did is perhaps a matter for debate, but they still deserve plenty of credit regardless. Their version ofWoody from theToy Storymoviesis both recognizable and unique, even if the facial texture doesn’t look quite right.
