Periodically,World of Warcraftreveals special rewards players can get for free simply by buying bulk subscription time. These6- and 12-monthWorld of Warcraftbundleshave a hefty up-front cost, but technically save players $2 per month on what a typical subscription fee would run. If players plan on subscribing for that many months in a row, and have the funds to put down immediately, these bundles are a great deal.

This is doubly so because of the special 12-month offerWorld of Warcraftjust revealed. If players buy a year of subscription time, or if they are already on a recurring plan to do so, they receive the Ginormous Grrloc and the Gleaming Moonbeast, two brand-new mounts. The former is a massive purple murloc, and the latter is an armored owlbear using a model from Patch 10.2. On top of that, players get theNightmarish Emerald Drake forWrath of the Lich King Classic, plus everything from the current 6-month subscription offer, as well as the oneWorld of Warcraftwill reveal early next year.
The promotional image for the 12-month reward features a silhouette teaser for the unannounced 6-month subscription reward. The item is clearly a mount, with its shape reminiscent of the Winding Slitherdrake–a Dragonriding mount introduced in Patch 10.1. However, the dragon seems to have tree-like branches on its head and wings, likely as a tie-in to theEmerald Dream zone fromWorld of WarcraftPatch 10.2. Players will have to wait until the offer is revealed early next year to find out what it is for certain.
ManyWorld of Warcraftplayers were impressed by these new mounts. The Gargantuan Grrloc–the green-colored cousin to the Ginormous Grrloc–was available in a previous 12-month offer, so players are excited to get another version of the popular mount. The Gleaming Moonbeast, on the other hand, is a dream come true for Night Elf fans, many of whom cannot wait forWorld of Warcraftto release the matching Heritageset the owlbear’s armor is based on.
Fans looking to get more freeWorld of Warcraftstuff are in luck. Right now, players can get theArmored Bloodwing mount inWorld of Warcraftvia Prime Gaming, and with Guardians of the Dream releasing soon, players can probably expect some more Twitch Drop campaigns as well.
