The Season of Discovery isWorld of Warcraft Classic’s newest project, featuring some significant changes to its nostalgic formula. Players can find and engrave Runes that drastically alter their class, challenge a 10-man raid version of Blackfathom Deeps, and visit Ashenvale, which has been transformed into a world PvP zone.
Recently,World of Warcraftannounced a series of improvements it was making to Ashenvale to make the experience more engaging for players. According to theWoW Classicforum post announcing the changes, reputation gains for the Lieutenant mini-bosses and faction leaders have been adjusted so players are rewarded as long as they harm the enemy at least once, regardless of whether they die or leave later. Players also get reputation for protecting their own team’s lieutenants, and the event time limit itself has been doubled. Most importantly, players can now pick up the Trainee’s Sentinel Nightsaber and Trainee’s Outrider Wolf–the only mounts available in Season of Discovery right now–after reaching Friendly, rather than Honored.
