Call of Duty: Warzone 2is in active development, being built alongside the 2022 version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Besides the fact thatCall of Duty: Warzone 2is in the works, though, fans have little else in the way of official details about the game or what it will entail. It’s unclear when Activision itself might spill the beans onCall of Duty: Warzone 2, but a reputable leaker may have revealed more info in the meantime.

Reputable leaker Tom Henderson has been revealing details aboutCall of Duty: Warzone 2andModern Warfare 2, and while fans should take the information with a grain of salt, Henderson has a proven track record when it comes toCoDleaks. Henderson’s latestCoDleaks have mentioned some of the returning maps that may be featured in the new version ofModern Warfare 2and how some of these maps may also be featured on theWarzone 2battle royale map.

As far as returning maps, Henderson has suggested that the 2022 version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2will feature various maps that should be familiar to longtimeCoDfans. Henderson specifically named Afghan,Highrise, Quarry, and Terminal as four maps that will be featured inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with all four of those maps potentially being featured on theWarzone 2map as well.

Rumor has it that theCall of Duty: Warzone 2map will havemore in common withBlack Ops 4’s Blackoutin that it will feature locations pulled from previousCall of Dutygames, as opposed to being a mostly original map like Verdansk and Caldera. According to Henderson’s info, there will be 18 Points of Interest on theWarzone 2map, with the aforementioned classicCall of Dutymaps featured under different names.

Besides Afghan, Highrise, Quarry, and Terminal, it’s also said that Favela could also be featured on theWarzone 2map.Favela was one of the most popular multiplayer mapsin the originalModern Warfare 2, so it would make sense for it to be featured on theWarzone 2map, and it would be great to see it make a comeback in the multiplayer as well, though it’s not mentioned in the report.

It’s always best to treat rumors and leaks like this with a grain of salt, though Henderson’s reputation speaks for itself. Luckily, fans shouldn’t have to wait all that much longer to get official word from Activision onWarzone 2andModern Warfare 2. Rumor has it that theModern Warfare 2reveal date is in June, but regardless, it’s likely that more info on the projects should come to light by the end of the summer.
