WithLethal Companygaining more new players daily, mistakes and a lack of understanding will likely occur, leading to deaths and failure to reach the quota. It is common for inexperienced players to fail inLethal Company, as many factors in the game can cause a player’s downfall if not avoided.

Overstaying in Lethal Company

8Overstaying

Being Too Greedy For Loot

Lethal Company’smain objective is to recover loot from facilities on different moons.A co-op group’sdownfall often occurs when overstaying inside to gain more loot. The more time spent inside the facility, the more likely monsters will be encountered, leading to possible death and loss of items. Another factor to consider is that the more time spent in the facility, the later the time gets, leading to monsters becoming more frequent, particularly outside the facilities.

During the evenings, it is more likely that monsters such as the Forest Keeper and Eyeless Dog will appear, ready to kill players who are not careful in returning earlier in the day. Players should cease scavenging at an appropriate time to avoid such dangers and to secure sufficient loot.

7Underestimating Surroundings

Oblivious To Danger

On every moon, there happens to be different terrains, each with a unique design and theme. Along with weather conditions, these moons' terrains can significantly affect survival as death becomes possible. If it is raining, players can become victims to drowning in a large section of water or falling prey to a sinkhole.

Other terrain effects that can cause fatalities include dying from lightning, even before reaching the facilities. Fora survival horror game,Lethal Companyprovides plenty of tricky terrain, which requires a solid grasp to avoid casualties.

6Going To Eclipsed Moons

Danger Around Every Corner

Eclipsed moons are the most daunting experiences withinLethal Company, with the difficulty level rising considerably compared to non-eclipsed moons. Eclipsed moons are severely dangerous as more monsters are present inside and outside the facility. In particular, monsters are active outside the ship from the outset, differingfrom non-eclipsed moons, where monsters only spawn outside after a specific time.

The increased number of monsters present will likely cause more causalities, especially for players unaware of the increased difficulty of eclipsed moons.

Selling items in Lethal Company

5Selling Every Item

Once enough loot has been collected to reach the quota, many may consider selling their whole haul. Despite gaining more credits to spend, more scavenging must be done for the next three-day run as the quota rises, with this being categorizedas a rookie mistake.

Saving loot for the next sale is imperative to continue progressing as it becomes less stressful having to scavenge to survive. Knowing that loot is already ready to be sold next time is an easy way to continue succeeding, as less pressure is on the group to find scrap in the depths of the facility.

Being unprepared in Lethal Company

4Going In Unprepared

Lacking Appropriate Items To Scavenge

Inmany games, likeLethal Company, scavenging is done to find loot to aid progression. With scavenging being the game’s primary goal, having items that can help in the activity is pivotal for success. Before leaving the ship for a three-day run, it is imperative to purchase items such as Flashlights or even Walkie-Talkies to help ensure survival within the facilities.

Going scavenging without the appropriate equipment can make both scavenging and surviving less likely, with a lack of light sources or communications tools present to guide players through the dark hallways. For inexperienced players, it is essential for success and survival to purchase cheap and effective equipment to aid their exploration.

3Spending Too Many Credits

Splurging On Excessive Items

One standard mistake players typically make is purchasing too many items, which can negatively affect a three-day scavenging run. Afterselling several items, players usually have enough credits to spend extensively in the store. With all the valuable items available, it is expected to see many purchases being made, leaving the amount of credits left as a minimal amount. If a group is wiped while scavenging, they lose all the items currently held.

If much of their budget has been spent and lost due to a group wipe, players cannot get any more practical items to aid their search in the facilities in the following days. Saving some credits as a backup plan is essential if scavenging goes awry.

Braken in Lethal Company

2Not Learning Monster Mechanics

Ignoring The Way Monsters Interact With Players

Monsters are the biggest threat inLethal Companywhen scavenging loot and hauling it to the ship. Each monster has different mechanics, with some being more threatening than others. Instead of running, players should try to learn each monster’s mechanics to better equip themselves for the next scavenging run. By understanding the monster’s mechanics and abilities, players can effectively plan strategies to render them useless.

If a monster such as the Braken appears, players can maneuver around its threatusing specific items such as the Zap Gun and Shovelto stun and kill the Braken before they can attack players.

Beehive in Lethal Company

1Collecting Bee Hives

Unlikely Danger

Bee hives are loot that often appear outside where ships land on each moon. Despite being a loot item, the challenges of acquiring a bee hive make it nowhere near as valuable as it should be. Surrounding the bee hive is a swarm of bees that will attack anyone who either comes close or picks up the bee hive. When taking a bee hive, there is a very high chance of death, resulting in a fine.

Players are more likely to find more valuable loot inside the facilities than the bee hive which ranges from 51-169 in price. Even if a bee hive is managed to be placed on the ship, taking off with the bees surrounding the bee hive can become extremely dangerous.
