ManyThe Last of Usplayers have reported several issues with the PC port, with the most common being unexpected crashes. But a player with the Reddit handle PhunkyPhish shared a graphical glitch that messed up the colors inBill’s home, describing it as a “rave” because of the neon hues that showed up on screen. One could barely see Joel standing in the photo because of the distracting colors.
The comment section under PhunkyPhish’s post was filled with many disappointed gamers saying “how bad this port was.” One user said they were glad they didn’t preorderThe Last of Usfor the PC because of the bad reviews it’s been getting. Another asked if the game’s performance issues were the reason why the developer didn’t give out preview codes. As of writing, Naughty Dog addressed the issues via Twitter, assuring players that the team has been actively investigating the issues and will be coming up with fixes for them.
Meanwhile, developer Iron Galaxy, who was also involved in theLast of UsPC port, didn’t release a statement regarding the game’s issues. Many players had reservations about the developer’s involvement because of how it handled the PC ports ofBatman: Arkham KnightandUncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which were both had negative reception. It’s still unclear whether these problems were caused by the developer, but given its past work, it wouldn’t be farfetched to see many gamers upset at Iron Galaxy as well.
It’s only been less than a day since the release ofThe Last of Uson PC. With time, the developers should be able to fix all the issues and give players a better experience.
