The Last of Us Part 2 Remasteredwill bring players back into the fold with Ellie, Abby, and many other iconic characters of the franchise, albeit with a new coat of fresh paint. While the main story will always be an exciting adventure, veterans can also jump into new modes like No Return and the Lost Levels to check things out.
Unlike the latter, No Return is a much more polished experience, adding a roguelike element to the proceedings and highlighting the game’s excellent combat and stealth features. To keep players coming back to No Return inThe Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, Naughty Dog has included a demanding list of challenges that can be completed for a variety of rewards. It could mean new skins for beloved characters, weapons, mods, and even more dangerous enemies to be fought in encounters.
It will take a significant amount of time and success in the mode to unlock everything, but for those seeking to understand just what awaits at the end of the tunnel, here is thefull list of all the challenges and rewards in No Return:
Core Challenges
Customize the rules of No Return mode.
Gambits randomly appear during encounters. Completing gambits leads to rewards for players, including currency, ammo, and health.
Dead Drops randomly appear in encounters. Depositing required items to receive an additional weapon or recipe upon returning to the hideout.
In Holdout, players and an ally will be attacked by aswarm of infected. Use supplies to set up the defense and try to survive without getting the ally killed.
In Capture, enemies will be guarding a safe filled with valuable supplies. With a time limit, attempt to grab the supplies before the safe locks or the enemies detect you.
The Daily Run forNo Returnbecomes available; players can make one attempt at the randomly generated run to try to get on the leaderboards.
Gambit Challenges
Headshot a grabbed enemy, dodge melee attacks 3 times, grab and kill 2 enemies in stealth, get 3 kills in rapid succession, kill the highlighted enemy first.
Kill the highlighted Brute using only melee attacks, kill an enemy wave without taking any damage, kill an enemy while holding another hostage, get 3 kills from prone, feed a grabbed enemy to a clicker.
Kill enemies with 3 different weapons, stun an enemy with astun bomb, dodge melee attacks 5 times, deposit items for a Dead Drop, hit 2 enemies with the same Molotov.
Unchain 2 clickers, stun 2 enemies with stun bombs, melee kill 2 enemies, get 3 headshot kills, stun 3 enemies by shooting below their knees.
Get a kill with an upgraded melee weapon, kill the 2 highlighted enemies first, get 3 kills with explosive arrows, get 3 kills using a silencer.
Mods Challenges
Low health damage bonus, Photo Mode filters, stuns restore melee durability, invisible enemies.
Increased enemy speed, temporarily unlocks all recipes, distractions attract enemies.
Stealth kills boost movement speed, Molotov rain, time limit, mirror mode.
Time slows on headshots, crafting gives bonus parts, reloading discards ammo left, long guns locked.
