The characters in the series have grown up from young children into adults with families, with the new generation being pretty fun to witness in their own right. So many characters have become parents in the series that it’s genuinely taking some time for fans to get used to the sight of their favorite characters being old and having children of their own. Many of the best parents inNarutofall into the category, with viewers getting a chance to witness their journey into adulthood firsthand.
10Sasuke Uchiha & Sakura Haruno
Given Sasuke’s flaky reputation with the Leaf Village, it was a given that staying too long in the land he tried to destroy wouldn’t bode too well for him. However, if this was the case, then he should’ve thought twice before he decided to start a family with Sakura.
As things stand,Sasuke is a parent who’s never around, which is why Sarada has issues with him. As a child who is unable to process these feelings properly, she ends up taking it out on Sakura, who doesn’t really handle these outbursts well all the time.

9Fugaku Uchiha & Mikoto Uchiha
There was a time when Fugaku and Mikoto seemed like good parents who had both Itachi and Sasuke’s best interests at heart. After all, it was the loss of his family that compelled Sasuke to mount a relentless quest for revenge against his older brother.
However, the new revelations brought to light afterthe fateful encounter with Itachipainted a different picture of Sasuke’s parents. They were Uchiha extremists who decided to put the entire clan at risk by staging a revolt, and Itachi killed them off so that Sasuke wouldn’t be caught in the crossfire.

8Choji Akimichi & Karui
Choji is a great character who formed a crucial part of the Ino-Shika-Cho formation. However, most people would agree thatChoji didn’t really have a lot of common sense, with his destructive eating habits and anger issues getting the best of him more often than not.

The fact that he ended up with Karui makes this pairing even more volatile, and one can’t really put too much faith in their skills at parenting. After all, Chocho herself has a tendency to munch on junk food all the time, which is a habit she clearly picked up from her father.
7Sai & Ino Yamanaka
Sai was an agent without an identity who got a new lease on life afterbecoming a part of Team 7. Watching him flirt awkwardly with Ino was a blast, and it was great to see this couple together later on in the series.
Ino has a kind heart and Sai is sensible, so it’s only a given that Inojin’s care is in the right hands right now. They may have their own individual flaws, but Sai and Ino are a great couple who cover up each other’s weaknesses while simultaneously complimenting their strengths.

6Asuma Sarutobi & Kurenai Yuhi
Asuma was one of the most engaging characters inNaruto, which made his death pretty hard to swallow. His absence hurt Kurenai the most, who was bearing Asuma’s child at the time too. Thankfully, she would prove to be one of the best parents inNaruto.
For what it’s worth, Mirai has grown up into a pretty competent shinobi despite the absence of her father. It speaks volumes about how well Kurenai raised her child and how she did the work of a single parent without too much stress.

5Shikamaru Nara & Temari
Shikamaru is one ofthe smartestNarutocharacters. Granted, he does lack motivation at the start of the series but is more than capable of pulling up his socks and becoming serious when the situation calls for it.
The fact that he’s with a competent and headstrong woman like Temari made them a great couple who were bound to be good parents. Shikadai is also a smart and sensible lad who is pretty independent at an early age; all qualities that he obviously took from his parents.

4Naruto Uzumaki & Hinata Hyuga
There’s no denying that Naruto would’ve been a great parent from the get-go if he wasn’t shouldering the responsibilities of a Hokage as well. Unfortunately, these responsibilities led toBoruto getting mad at his absence from the family, despite Hinata’s best efforts to keep everyone happy.
Of course, these issues were resolved once Boruto understood just how heavy the burden of Naruto’s responsibilities really was. So, in the current story, both father and son see eye to eye for the most part, although this development did take some time.

3Tsume Inuzuka
Being a single parent is not an easy task in the slightest. However, to be a clan leader on top of that is a massive responsibility. Despite this, Tsume ended up being both a powerful leader and a nigh-perfect parent as well.

The reason why Kiba is so strong and confident is that he had a mother who supported and taught him every step of the way. A lot of people don’t really talk about this character, which is a shame since she’s genuinely one of the best parents inNaruto.
2Shikaku Nara & Yoshino Nara
There’s no denying that Shikamaru had all the signs of a problem child, with his lack of motivation and laziness being frustrating for any parent to bear. However, not only did Shikaku and Yoshino not give Shikamaru too much of a hard time about it, but they also used love and patience to help him mature.
Shikaku’s mere presence was enough for Shikamaru to open up and grieve about his master’s death, which speaks volumes when it comes to how comfortable this parent-son duo is around each other. Shikaku’s death was definitely one of the hardest things Shikamaru has gone through, but it was his father’s encouraging words that allowed him to focus on the bigger picture and become a strategist who could save the ninja world.

1Minato Namikaze & Kushina Uzumaki
It’s a downright shame that Minato and Kushina never got to raise Naruto. After all, given the sacrifices they made and the lengths they went to in order togive Naruto a crutch to lean on whenever the Kyuubi went out of control, it was clear that their love for their child was as pure as can be.
The emotional farewell they give to their child before breathing their last is genuinely one of the most emotional moments inNaruto. It’s great that the protagonist got to interact with his parents after their demise since it helped him understand just how strongly his parents loved him, even in the afterlife.
