IShowSpeed has been permanently banned from playingValorantbyRiot Gamesafter a clip resurfaced from a stream showing him berating a female teammate during a furious outburst. In the clip, IShowSpeed gets angry after he is killed during a game resulting in an outburst where he becomes very defensive about how he played, getting even angrier when female voice chimes in. He calls her a derogatory name and tells her to go to the kitchen and do dishes instead of being on the team playing the game. In response to the clip on Twitter, Sara Dadafshar, a producer onValorantconfirmed the permaban.

IShowSpeed is no stranger to bans or making disgusting sexist comments. Last year he was banned fromTwitch after making sexist commentsduring a dating show stream, but that ban has since been lifted. His YouTube channel could also be in danger with another response from YouTube Gaming hinting at the possibility of this clip having an impact on his channel.

One of the most disturbing things about this clip is the chat seems to be cheering him on and laughing, speaking to the culture of his audience. With an audience like that encouraging him while hearing these comments, it perpetuates the toxic culture that comes from some players inValorantand how terribly some women are treatedwhen they play games like this.

IShowSpeed has apologized for his actions and claims that this clip was from a much older stream. He also said in the apology that he had been subjected to racism by teammates on that sameTwitchstream, but that does not excuse his actions in this clip. Female players should be able to coexist with male players in any team game they play, especiallyValorantwithout being subjected to this kind of berating from male players.
