Stardew Valleyis still being regularly updated, and the newest update has added a variety of useful quality of life changes. TheStardew Valleyupdate 1.5has added something called a Lost and Found box that will be useful to most players.
Stardew Valley’s Lost and Found
The Lost and Found Box is used to collect items that have been “lost” one way or another by the player. In the box, players can find items that were delivered for a special order that failed, item left behind during theStardew Valley Fair’s grange display, children’s hats that became doves, and items from offline players. Players can even find some quest items and tools that have been lost while playing.

Previously, some items would be set down by a player’s bed while sleeping byMayor Lewis, but some of these items were unable to be retrieved. Finally,Stardew Valleyplayers can now recover just about everything.
Location of Lost and Found Box in Stardew Valley
Thankfully, it is now very easy to locate the Lost and Found box and get those lost items back. Players can find the Lost and Found boxinside of Mayor Lewis' house. Once inside, it is located on the opposite side of the main room from the front door. It looks like a brown box without a top with a question mark over the top of it. Here is the location in the Mayor’s Manor:
The fact that the Lost and Found Box is so accessible and easy-to-find is great for players, especially new ones. Losing tools and important items is one of the biggestmistakes new players make when they startStardew Valley. This will help players of all levels, however; there’s a reason why players have been asking for a Lost and Found box almost sinceStardew Valleyreleased.
In order to get any items back, players just need to head into the Mayor’s Manor, thenuse the interact button on the box. Any missing items that are eligible for the box will be found inside the day after it was lost.
Not Yet on Mobile
Since this is a feature ofStardew Valley’s Update 1.5, playerswon’t have access to the Lost and Found Box on Android or iOS. Update 1.5 was released in December 2020 on PC and this week on consoles, but has yet to arrive on mobile devices. There does not appear to be a timeline for its release just yet, so for now mobileStardew Valleyplayers will have to be patient to get all the new features and quality of life updates. As of February 2021, there is still not an update on the timeline according toStardewdevs on Twitter, but mobile is still in the works.
