One of these abilities may prove to provide quite an interesting combat sequence for players, as Nix’s weapon-grabbing could see the critter bringing a lightsaber to Kay.

Nix Has the Potential and Ability to Grab a Unique Weapon For Kay Vess
Out of the abilities thatStar Wars Outlaws' Nixpossesses, grabbing weapons seems like one of the most exciting mechanics. For example, there could potentially be a fight in Jabba’s Palace (or somewhere where an NPC has a collection of unique weapons) where there’s a lightsaber on display.
If the game allowed, Nix could grab the lightsaber and give it toStar Wars' Kay Vessto use. It would certainly make for a fun combat experience, consideringStar Wars Outlawsfollows the story of Kay Vess, who is a scoundrel and not a Jedi. However, ifStar Wars Outlawsdoes have this mechanic, it’s likely that a lightsaber would only be used temporarily during a scripted segment.
Potential Uses for A Lightsaber in Star Wars Outlaws
There are many roles a lightsaber could have inStar Wars Outlaws, with the most obvious being being a fun and unique combat encounter where Kay clumsily cuts down enemies with the lightsaber. However, consideringKay Vess is a scoundrel inStar Wars Outlaws, the player could likely be given the option to sell the lightsaber or keep it as a memento. Perhaps she’ll hide it away on her ship in case she needs the upper hand in a future fight, or maybe she’ll sell it for credits.
Deciding what to do with the potential lightsaber could come into play in some sort of story sequence. Perhaps Kay Vess thinks about keeping the lightsaber, but ND-5 advises against it, consideringthe Galactic Empiredoesn’t tolerate Force-wielders. Kay Vess wouldn’t want to be mistaken for a Jedi and land in even more trouble, after all, though having such a powerful tool as a backup plan could come in handy.
A Lightsaber Might Not Have Much Significance in Star Wars Outlaws
Alternatively, given the fact that Kay Vess is not a Jedi, a lightsaber might not have much significance to her. She might not even really know what it is, considering she might not have seen a Jedi or one ofStar Wars’ Inquisitorsbefore (unless she has crossed paths with them before the events of the game). In the era in whichStar Wars Outlawsis set, the Jedi have not been around for over 20 years.
There’s a chance Kay Vess might even skim over the lightsaber and not know what it is, which could make for a funny moment if Nix brings her the tool, and she confusingly throws it away. Whether or not a lightsaber will appear in the game is unclear, but the opportunity for Ubisoft to feature one - and deliver it to Kay using Nix - is absolutely there.
