Respawn Entertainment has released nine minutes of gameplay footage fromStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. The footage gives players an extended glimpse at Cal Kestis' latest adventure, as he attempts to restore the Jedi Order inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The nine minutes of footage released by the developer shows off a variety of gameplay features, most returning from its predecessor,Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The footage is taken from the planet Koboh, as protagonist Cal Kestis seeks help to repair his ship. Lightsaber combat remains a key focus of the footage, which seems to be taking the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach. Thelightsaber combat inStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwas widely praised, and doesn’t seem to have been shaken up too much here. Most of the new content in the footage is through fresh environments and enemies, with the battle droids making a return from the prequel movies.
Fans will be excited to see the return of the popular droid BD-1, who can be seen playing a key role in the footage. His role in the first game was one of utility, but his personality and dynamic with Cal were essential to the heart of the original. In the extended gameplay, it’s clear that this is continuing in the same vein inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor.
