Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroesis approaching its ninth year as the predominantStar Warsmobile game, and it’s finally branching out with an official PC client hitting Early Access. Players will be able to link their existing accounts to PC where they can take advantage of more screen real estate, dedicated keyboard controls, higher frame rates, and sharper graphics.
With the move to PC, it’s fairly likely that there will be a substantial number of returning players who are interested in checking out this arguably ideal version of theStar Warsgacha game. Ahead of the Early Access release, Game Rant asked Capital Games producers Caley and Chelsea about what they feel are some of the biggest changes that returning players might notice since their last visit to the holotable.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes' Galactic Conquest Mode Is A Massive Change
Chelsea says that the Galactic Conquest mode is a major standout. This massive mode will be new to players who haven’t been around since 2021, and it involves progressing through branching nodes where players can decide which teams to fight and which rewards to target, and there’s an assortment of consumable items togive their teams a boostthrough a difficult matchup.
I would say the big differences would likely be how Galactic War has evolved into Conquest. If you were a player that played way back in the day, and you remember Galactic War, it’s now evolved into a way bigger game mode…We also have a new territory battle map, where instead of staying on a single planet, you’re going across the galaxy spanning many planets, and we keep adding new planets, so that is an evolving system. There’s also raids: instead of one big raid every few years, we’re now much more frequently introducing smaller bite sized raids so that you can dive into those experiences quicker. So those are the big changes that have happened.
The marquee events that have traditionally been used to introduce newGalaxy of Heroescharactershave also seen an update, allowing players to tackle them on a daily basis for more shards. The cadence of raid releases has also sped up, so returning players should notice significantly more variety in raid content over time. Simply put, there’s a lot more to do than even just a few years ago.
Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes' New Events Add More Variety
Caley pointed to a number of reworks to familiar systems that should be a pleasant surprise for returning players. Multiple new Assault Battles have been added such as Fanatical Devotion focused on testing players' collection of Inquisitorius characters, or newEpisode I-themed content like the Battle for Naboo raidcelebratingThe Phantom Menace’s 25th anniversaryand the All the Queen’s Men event featuring Padawan Obi-Wan.
We’ve made updates to the Grand Arena Championship, we’ve made updates to raids, we’ve made updates to the way we do our marquee events, and we’ve made updates to new Legendary Assault Battles. Our latest one was All The Queen’s Men, where you got to fight Darth Maul with Obi Wan and Qui Gon, which was so fun. I can’t wait for more of those.
Needless to say, playersreturning toStar Wars: Galaxy of Heroesfor its PC debut are in for a head-spinning amount of new content, characters, and modes. Thanks to a recent update, now is also a great time for newcomers due to a massively sped-up leveling process that unlocks an improved variety of characters and ships.
Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroesis free to play on mobile and enters PC Early Access on July 17.
