For example, Sega added LEGO skins for Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, along with a holiday costume for Sonic at the end of 2023. The developer even introduced aShadow the Hedgehog Costume for Sonicto celebrate the announcement ofSonic x Shadow Generations, a remaster of 2011’sSonic Generationswith new levels featuring Shadow. Recently, Sega revealed it was not done supportingSonic Superstarswith new cosmetics.
As part of a collaboration with IHOP, a pancake house restaurant chain, Sega has revealed the Retro Diner Amy Costume. As the name suggests, this latest outfit givesSonic Superstars' Amya retro look, complete with a dress to match the diner theme. To unlock the exclusive IHOP-themed costume inSonic Superstars, players need to use PanCoins, which can be earned as part of IHOP Rewards. It is worth noting that this new outfit is available for a limited time. Players have until May 5 to claim the costume, meaning those interested must redeem their coins relatively soon.

In addition to this newSonic Superstarscostume for Amy, the IHOP promotion includes other rewards that can be redeemed using PanCoins. Specifically, these rewards are full game downloads forSonic Frontiers,Sonic Superstars, andSonic Origins Plus, more recentgames featuring Sonic. Furthermore, IHOP has given its menu aSonic the Hedgehog-themed revamp for the collaboration. Among the new dishes added to the menu is Sonic’s Blue Blur Special, a group of pancakes featuring an appropriately large load of blueberries and blueberry maple syrup. Other selections are Tails’ 2x2x2, Knuckles’ Chicken Sandwich, Shadow’s Chaos Chocolate Pancakes, Amy’s Sweet Strawberry Delight, and Dr. Eggman’s Benedict.
DespiteSonic Superstarsbeing close to half a year old, Sega has shown persistence in providing new content, such as costumes, for players to check out. While players will have to wait and see if more costumes and skins are added to the game in the future, there is a lot of other news on the horizon for theSonicfranchise. In addition toSonic x Shadow Generations, a new Knuckles show is heading to Paramount Plus andSonic the Hedgehog 3is coming in Decemberof this year, promising to give fans a story involving Shadow in the popular film series.
