Due to its popularity,Skyrimhas been ported to several consoles since it was first released. Because of how many gamers have playedSkyrimsince 2011, many glitches have been spotted inthe Bethesda RPG. Some recent glitches include one that makes grass incredibly tall, another that forces a guard to walk around in thin air, and even a bug that makes a horse fly. Reddit user Catherineshere recently shared aSkyrimclip in which the protagonist Dragonborn in Daedric armor is laying flat on their back in a strange t-pose that clips through some objects as the player moves the character around. Similar to other popular RPGs, players can get knocked down by a few different attacks, primarily a shout that’s akin to the first oneSkyrim’s Dragonbornlearns. Catherineshere attributes one of these shouts from an enemy to what caused their Dragonborn to get stuck in the awkward position on the ground, a glitch that seems to be linked to the animation of the Dragonborn falling or getting back up.
While the Dragonborn doesn’t look like they can interact with the world ofSkyrimas they normally would, Catherineshere confirmed that the game treated the character as if they weren’t flat on the ground. Though they can’t attack any enemies in this position, Catherineshere stated that theirSkyrimfollowercontinued to pursue them, and they could jump despite the Dragonborn not using their legs to do it. According to Catherineshere, the fallen Dragonborn was able to correct themselves once they cast a Conjuration spell, suggesting that using magic is key to getting out of the t-pose.
Although Catherineshere confirmed that aSkyrimConjurationspell will help players out of this glitch, it’s still unclear if other schools of magic like Alteration, Destruction, or Illusion can help in the same way. Because Bethesda still releases sporadic updates forSkyrim, the glitch that caused Catherineshere’s character to stay on the ground may be patched in the future.
Skyrimis available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
