Since its 2022 launch,Overwatch 2has teamed up withOne-Punch Manand South Korean pop group LE SSERAFIM to bring a lineup of interesting crossover skins to the game. Most recently,Overwatch 2has announced a new collabwith another popular anime franchise,Cowboy Bebop, which will include skins for Cassidy, Ashe, Mauga, Wrecking Ball, and Sombra, as well as an amalgamation of other small items like sprays, emotes, and more.
OneOverwatch 2fan has an idea for another interesting collaboration, this time with the1980s sci-fi franchiseMasters of the Universe. On Instagram, overwatch.madskillz posted a concept of what a Skeletor skin for Reaper would look like. The impressive skin is very similar to the classic purple Skeletor look, with blue skin and his iconic skull head. Reaper’s dual shotguns resemble hellish demon beast skulls, complete with horns, teeth, and red eyes. The post also includes a look at a Skeletor player icon, and a spray called “Disturbing Fact”, which depicts Skeletor in a pose from the popular meme.
The voice line that’s also included in overwatch.madskillz’s Instagram post largely sounds exactly like Reaper’s original voice. When Skeletor joined the roster ofCall of Duty:Modern Warfare 2late last year, he fittingly came with his original voice from the 1980s show. Since this is a skin for awell-establishedOverwatchcharacter, it would be strange for Skeletor’s original voice to take the place of Reaper’s. Beneath the post, commenters discussed whichOverwatchcharacter would be best suited to becomeMasters of the Universe’s hero, He-Man, if a collaboration does come to fruition. Soldier: 76, Cassidy, and Reinhardt seemed to have led the conversation.

Overwatch 2’s crossover withCowboy Bebopis set to begin on March 12. WithOverwatch 2approaching the midway mark of Season 9, Season 10 is expected to begin sometime in early April, so fans should keep an eye out for official details in the following weeks. Venture,Overwatch’s 40th hero, is expected to headline Season 10 and will be the first DPS hero added to the game since Sojourn in 2022.
