Back in 2022, Konami announced that developer Bloober Team would be working on the remake. Since then, fans have been excited and eager to know when they will finally be able to play the survival horror title.
Now, Konami revealed in Sony’s latest State of Play thatSilent Hill 2will be out on October 8 for PS5 and PC. Before now,several rumors pointed toSilent Hill 2’s appearance at Sony’s event, and fans were not disappointed. The official release date was unveiled in a short trailer, which depicted the protagonist James Sunderland talking to Angela Orosco, as well as some exploration and combat scenes.

Unlike most of the other games in theSilent Hillfranchise, such as the first and third entries, which were much more straightforward, much of the game’s story revolves around James’ traumas and leans on psychological horror aspects.
DespiteSilent Hill 2being a remake, there’s still a lot that fans don’t know about the upcoming survival horror game, including whether its story will follow every aspect of the original as closely as possible, or if there are any unexpected twists to come.
