Tenner, who has been nominated for Emmy Awards for her past work inFargoandEscape At Dannemora, said that getting involved with the genre-bending series was a “no-brainer” due to Stiller’s “excellent taste”.

Regarding casting Scott, Tenner said, “Adam is someone that Ben had already talked to. I don’t know if I have the story exactly right, but I think they had talked about the project when it first came to Ben through Red Hour Productions, and from Jackie Cohn (executive producer) and Dan Erickson (creator). There was an early discussion, and then it went dormant for so long because they were developing the show.”

She continued, “Adam can do it all right. He’s so complicated, I guess that’s the best way to put it. At any given moment, he can be vulnerable, sarcastic, warm, and inviting. He can be sad or heartbroken. Every choice he makes, I 100 percent buy it.”
