Elden Ring’s talismans replace the rings in FromSoftware’s previousDark Soulsseries as items that the player can find scattered around the game’s world, and when equipped will provide a specific buff to the player. These talismans are integrated intoElden Ring’s loreand are usually associated with the buff that they provide to the player. For example, the Arsenal Charm raises the players maximum equipment load, and the FlameDrake Talisman raises the player’s fire damage resistance.

There are also elements associated with separate buffs which are consistent acrossElden Ring’s different talismans. The talismans which boost the player’s health, focus, and stamina all contain a color associated with each of these attributes in the player’s UI. These are the various crimson, cerulean, and viridian talismans respectively.

One of these talismans associated with health regeneration has now been recreated by a talented prop maker on Reddit named ModellingTheUniverse. The Reddit user has made a faithful recreation of the Crimson Seed Talisman, which increases the player’s health regeneration when usingElden Ring’s primary healing item, the Flask of Crimson Tears. The talisman’s intricate design is described by its in-game item description as being patterned after an Erdtree seed. Clickhereto see the rest of the photos.

ModellingTheUniverse says their talisman is made from brass powder and resin, and that they would like to create a version of each ofElden Ring’s talismans eventually. This would leave them with an extremely desirable collection if each talisman was created to the same caliber as their Crimson Seed Talisman. But this would also be quite an undertaking as there are currently 91 unique talismans in the game. This is not including any +1 or +2 talisman variants that can be found in game, or any talismans that may be included infuture DLC forElden Ring.

Not only is the Crimson Seed Talisman one ofElden Ring’s best talismans due to the fact that it raises the player’s Crimson Flask health regeneration by 20%, but it also has huge implications forElden Ring’s story. As stated by the Crimson Seed Talisman’s item description, it was believed that a seed for the Erdtree couldn’t exist because it was an eternal fixture of The Lands Between. This is becauseinElden Ring’s lore the Erdtree is a physical manifestation of The Greater Will, which is the most prominent outer god inElden Ring’s story.

There are many Minor Erdtrees scattered aroundElden Ring’s map which are all connected to the same root system. But having an item that is supposedly based off an Erdtree seed does imply the existence of more of these Erdtree systems, and does give credence to the theory thatthe Erdtree is a parasite in The Lands Between.

Elden Ringis available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
