Last November, Nintendo releasedPokemon SwordandPokemonShieldfor the Nintendo Switch, which serve as the eighth generation titles to the longstandingPokemonfranchise. The release ofboth games received mostly positive reviewsfrom fans and critics despite facing backlash earlier when it was announced that not all pre-existingPokemonwill be included in the games.

Now, players who are holding off the purchase of both games would be happy to know thatPokemon Swordand Shieldare currently discounted at Walmart. The retailer is offering both games for $49 each, which is 18% off their original list price of $59.99. It is worth noting that this is the first-ever price drop for the games, so players who are interested in venturing into the Galar region should take advantage of Walmart’s deal.
