Pokemonfan HuldraInside took to social media to share the discovery that Dipplin’s signature move Syrup Bomb changes to yellow if the Pokemon is shiny. For reference, the move is typically red like the color of a standard Dipplin. While shinies are different-colored variants of a Pokemon, the designs of the moves themselves generally stay the same regardless of the color of the monster. This unique aspect arguably moves Dipplin up the ranks to being one of thebest shiny Pokemon in the region.

While Applin is quite small, it isn’t themost difficult shiny Pokemon to spot inScarlet and Violetthanks in large part to its bright green color. The DLC isn’t even required to capture Applin, as the creature is already included in the base game. However, the Syrupy Apple is needed to evolve Applin into Dipplin.

The campaign of the Teal Mask DLC only takes roughly three or four hours to beat. That being said, capturing all of the new creatures and shiny hunting for them will take considerably longer. Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have added extra incentive to hop back intoScarlet and Violetwith the introduction of Metwo raid battles. To prepare for this epic event, the game is also giving away Mew for a limited time as an in-game Mystery Gift.

The main course when it comes to extra content withinScarlet and Violetis the two waves of DLC being released for the game. The first is The Teal Mask, which just debuted, and the second wave is titled The Indigo Disk, which is slated to release before the end of the year. It will be interesting to see if there are even more discoveries that have yet to be unveiled.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare available now for the Nintendo Switch.
