May is a busy month forPokemon GOplayers, despite there being fewer events than we’ve seen in late winter and early spring. There may not be a new major event every week on thePoGOMay 2021 calendar of events, but the Luminous Legends events are massive and span a longer time frame than the average event in the game. That said, there are still a handful of smaller events happening this month, including a Marill-themed Limited Research day.
The Marill Limited Research event arrives at the end of this week and players will have most of the day Sunday to enjoy the features and earn as many Marill encounters as possible throughout the day.Limited Research eventsare still a fairly new activity in the game, but at this pointPokemon GOplayers should know what to expect from one of the events.

Limited Research events aren’t quite as robust and engaging as a Community Day, but they are a nice way to highlight an additional Pokemon each month. Marill isn’t a particularly relevant Pokemon in thePoGOPvE meta game, but some players can get creative and work it into the occasional PvP roster. Regardless of meta relevance or popularity, the event’s tasks are usually simple enough that most players will complete them passively just by playing during the event time frame anyway.
“As Fairy-type Pokémon continue to appear more often in the wild during the Luminous Legends X event, you can look forward to a Limited Research event featuring the Water- and Fairy-type Pokémon Marill!”

Trainers should definitely head back closer to the event’s start date for a full confirmed list of the tasks that will be includes as part of the event-exclusive timed research. Recent Limited Research events offer a pretty good idea of what might be included, but things could always change this time around, so be sure to continue researching closer to Sunday.
Over the next week or so players should begin to learn a lot more about what other events are on the way during the finals days ofthe Season of Legends. Be sure to check back in the near future for morePokemon GOstrategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
