With significant updates on the title possibly still months away, players with artistic talent have stepped up to create their own Mega Evolutions, helping to satisfy the eagerness of fans to see what’s coming next.
Pokemonfan Just-Drawing-Mons has now created their own version of Shiftry, giving theWicked Pokemona refreshed look. While the general shape and color of its body has largely remained the same, Mega Shiftry has gained a number of differences from its base form, including recolored hands, making them look like autumn leaves instead of the usual green ones, and changing the number of leaflets from three to five. Additionally, Mega Shiftry wears a red face mask, and the white mane on its face has lengthened, giving it a full beard.
In the original lore for Shiftry, the Pokemon is said to potentially herald winter when it arrives. Based on that, this Mega Evolution seems as though it’s rolled back the clock a bit, bringing fall instead. Unfortunately, the artist didn’t share their inspiration behind the design, so the rest of the look remains up to interpretation. While Shiftry didn’t make an appearance inPokemon Sun and Moon, it’s been in nearly all of the mainline games since its release, lending some credence to the idea that it couldpotentially receive a Mega Evolution inPokemon Legends: Z-A.
