Even if Tanaka isn’t the most pleasant person to spend time with, you’ll want to max out the Devil Social Link so that you may receive the ultimate Persona of the Devil Arcana.

You will need to do the following in order to unlock the Devil Social Link:
Tanaka is availableduring the eveningsonTuesdayandSaturday. Since he’s an “out-of-school” Social Link, you’re able to spend time with him during the week before exams and on holidays.

Normally, it’s recommended that you have aPersona of a matching Arcanawhen you go to rank up your Social Links. However, for Tanaka,you don’t need a Persona of the Devil Arcana. He shares this trait with Akinari Kamiki (Sun), who also ranks up automatically. However, thechoices you make in each Rankwill still give you points towards the Devil Social Link.

This Rank is automatic. If you’ve reached Rank 4 of the Hermit Arcana, have level 4 Charm, and paid the 40000, then you’ll automatically unlock Rank 1 when you speak to Tanaka.

Once you’ve maxed out the Social Link, Tanaka will give you theThank-You Letterkey item. With this, you’ll be able to fuseBeelzebub,the ultimate form of the Devil Arcana. Beelzebub’s base level is81, so if you’re on your first playthrough, it’ll be a while before you can fuse him. He can be fused by doing aSpecial Fusionin the Velvet Room.
