But how exactly can she do this? Should she flirt with him, talk down to him, or inspire him with her nice words? Players who are having trouble can read this guide to find the answer and persuade the young man in just a few lines.
How to Persuade Krafft
To find Krafft, players will need to head to Central Town, near Lucky’s last spot. He’ll be there working with stones and waiting for Magdalene to start a conversation. If Magdalene and Krafft have had good interactions, convincing him is easy. Players can simply choose the inspiring dialogues that encourage him to do what he loves and find meaning.
If Magdalene and Krafft have had a rocky past, players will need to persuade him through reverse psychology. Basically,when it’s timefor Magdalene to give Krafft a piece of advice, they should tell him to stay in the town and work on the farm instead of taking the apprenticeship. This will trigger him to leave and train under the master stonemason.
Interestingly, Krafft Bauer is not the firstPentimentcharacter to have reverse psychology or negative persuasion. Another prominent character, Caster, has the same mechanic. In fact, the only way to save Casper is to break his heart and blame him for every little inconvenience. The same is true about Krafft. He may need to hear some disappointing dialogue before deciding to follow his dreams.
The Secret Key to Persuading Krafft
Flirting with Krafft is another way to persuade him to take the apprenticeship. For that though, players must have the Flirt background and tease Krafft about being better than Ötz.
In this conversation, Magdalene discovers that Krafft is willing to take the opportunity. However, he’s worried about being unable to support his family while away, so players can encourage him to accept the apprenticeship by assuring Krafft about his family.
If persuading Krafft doesn’t work, players shoulduse the save scum strategyto try different dialogue paths. They can trigger an auto-save before the conversation and then quit the game right before the dialogue ends. That way, Magdalene can talk to Krafft over and over again until she persuades him.
