Now, many players on social media are calling out the developers for makingPayday 3an online-only game and requiring people to log in to a profile to play. For instance, a gamer called Trace_Loco called the new heist adventure a disaster on Twitter, claiming that it took a long time before they were able to create an account, and then they simply could not log in to it. On Reddit, another gamer called Porschekid11 complained thatPayday 3’s online-only stance was harmful to the title, as so far many players were unable to actually log in and be online. The feelings of the community were pretty well summarised by Xeroxeroxero_, who has already gained over 2,200 upvotes by affirming thatPayday 3was a great example of why online-only games are a bad idea.

At the moment, it remains to be seen whether Starbreeze Studios will change its mind and add a fully offline mode, or if gamers will have to accept the limitations of online-only gaming to playPayday 3.
