Known to many as the strongest creature in theOne Pieceworld, Kaido is one of the Yonko of the Sea and captains the Beasts Pirates. Over the years, he’s acquired a bounty of 4,611,100,000 berries, which is the highest known active bounty in the story right now.

Withthe power of the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryudevil fruit and Haki of the highest level, Kaido is regarded as the strongest pirate alive. Only a handful of pirates in the story can put up a fight against him, and even fewer can actually defeat him in battle. Here are those rare souls who just might stand a chance.
9Monkey D. Luffy, The Fifth Emperor
The series' main protagonist, Luffy, is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and the Fifth Emperor of the Sea. He’s an extremely powerful pirate who has only grown stronger with time. On Whole Cake Island, Luffy learned how to see the future with his Observation Haki, and in Wano, he’s managed to advanced his Armament Haki and Conqueror’s Haki to advanced levels.
All that, when combined withhis Paramecia Devil Fruit powers, makes him a fearsome pirate. During the Onigashima Raid, Luffy was able to severely injure Kaido, showing he’s capable of standing against him.
8Blackbeard, One Of The Yonko
Blackbeard rose to the position of Yonko during the two-year timeskip when he defeated the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates in the Grudge War. Since then, he’s continued to grow stronger andhe currently has a bounty of 2,247,600,000 berrieson his head.
Blackbeard possesses the power of the Yami Yami no Mi, which is said to be the strongest Logia-type devil fruit, and the Gura Gura no Mi, which is the strongest Paramecia. With these powers, he’s certainly one who can rival Kaido.
7Kozuki Oden, Wano’s Strongest
Oden was the greatest Samurai of Wano Country around 20 years before the current events of the story.He was a user of all the Haki types, but his Ryou was especially powerful. After setting sail with Whitebeard and then with Roger, Oden grew several times stronger and then fought Kaido in a gruesome battle.

Although Oden lost to Kaido, the result was affected by Kaido’s subordinates using a cheap trick on him. Had it not been for them, Oden could very well have killed Kaido. He could best the fearsome pirate in a fair fight.
6Shiki, Rival Of The Pirate King
Shiki is Kaido’s former crewmate, and the two spent years together on Rocks' ship. After the God Valley Incident, Shiki rose to power quickly and became one of the most powerful pirates in the Grand Line. He was considered as a rival to Roger, which is extremely impressive.
What’s more, Shiki was able to fight both Garp and Sengoku at once on Marineford and destroy half of the island while he was at it. Considering his feats, it’s easy to argue that he could’ve rivaled any of Yonko in his prime, including Kaido.
5Shanks, A Yonko Like Kaido
The chief of the Red Hair Pirates, Shanks is among the strongest people in the world ofOne Piece. He was once an apprentice on Roger’s Ship, but has since gone on to achieve greatness. Shanks has a bounty of 4,048,900,000 berries on his head, which is surpassed only by Big Mom and Kaido.
Shanks is a capable user of all the Haki types, but his specialty is Conqueror’s Haki. Shanks could fight Kaido before Marineford, and emerge without any significant injuries. What’s more, Kaido himself considers Shanks to be among the most capable pirates.
4Big Mom, As Strong As Kaido
Big Mom is one of the Yonko, just like Kaido, and she has a bounty of 4,338,000,000 berries. She holds the power of the Soru Soru no Mi, and along with it, the ability to use all three Haki types. Big Mom can use at least two advanced Haki types in Ryou, including advanced Conqueror’s Haki.

Furthermore, her body is described to be extremely difficult to damage. So far, she hasn’t sustained even a single serious injury in the story. In Wano, she fought Kaido for days to a draw, and she’s widely known to be every bit as fearsome as Kaido himself.
3Rocks D. Xebec, A Fearsome Pirate
Rocks d. Xebec was an extremely powerful piratewho ruled the seas all alone, around 40 years before the current timeline ofOne Piece. He captained the Rocks Pirates, which included younger versions of Big Mom, Kaido, Whitebeard, and Shiki, among many others.
On God Valley, Rocks met his end, as Roger and Garp teamed up to take him down in battle. According to Kaido, Rocks was a capable pirate and among the greatest to ever live. There’s little doubt he could have taken Kaido on.
2Whitebeard, The Strongest Man In The World
Edward Newgate, famously known as Whitebeard, was the strongest man in theOne Pieceworld right until the moment of his death. He had a bounty of 5,046,000,000 berries at the end of his life which is second only to the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.
Whitebeard was extremely strong and held the power to destroy the world, thanks to the Gura Gura no Mi. He also had great control over all the Haki types, making him an exceptional pirate.
1Gol D. Roger, The Greatest Pirate To Ever Live
Gol D. Roger was the captain of the Roger Pirates, and an incredibly strong man who could match Whitebeard even when his sickness was weighing him down. Roger had no Devil Fruit power; however, his control over Haki was truly immense. He has been seen using the advanced forms of Armament and Conqueror’s Haki during Oden’s flashback.
In his prime days, Roger was nigh-invincible and the only men who came close to him were Whitebeard and Garp. If Roger could take down Rocks D. Xebec, he could certainly do the same to Kaido.
