Fan-favorite Abe returns inOddworld: Soulstormto once again try to save his fellow mudokons from their fate as slave labor in some of gaming’s most dangerous environments. There are many thingsthatOddworldplayers should knowbefore starting the game, and chief among them is how long it will take to complete.
Oddworld: Soulstormwill take roughly 15 hours to beat, depending on player skill. While 15 hours is the average time it should take a player to complete the game, this will vary depending on the difficulty they choose to play at and their ability at platforming games. Players who wish to experience all four possible endings will also need to put in more time to see them.

Players who manage to save different amounts of the trapped mudokons in the game will unlock additional levels, giving them access to thedifferent endings inOddworld: Soulstorm. Each ending requires a different number of mudokons to be saved at different points in the game, so players may need to replay levels, or the entire game, to experience them all. For the final ending, players will need to have saved 80% of the mudokons in every level, which may require some replaying if they find any of the levels to be particularly tricky.
Players who like to trophy hunt in games can also spend a few additional hours trying to getall the trophies inOddworld: Soulstorm. Some of these trophies are quite easy to achieve, but some are challenging, like making it through difficulty levels without dying. As such, exactly how long it takes a player to finish the game will really depend on how much they are willing to engage with all the available content and challenges.
TheOddworldseries has always been something of a cult classicin the pantheon of platform games, combing traditional platforming elements with some obvious inspiration from theLemmingsseries.Oddworld: Soulstormis no different, presenting players with fun platforming challenges and requiring them to carefully shepherd the mudokons safely through the various threats and traps that make up the levels.
Oddworld: Soulstormis also a very interesting game in the series and may not be quite what players expect. Narratively, the game continues what has been something of a soft reboot for the series. Picking up after 2014’sAbe’s Odyssey: New N' Tasty, which was a remake of the original 1997 game. Fans of the series will certainly find the time they spend finishingOddworld: Soulstormto be well spent.
