Among the big AAA game releases in January 2022,Nobody Saves the Worldhas proven to be an indie gem that is worthy of attention. Since its launch on PC and Xbox, the game has earned praise from critics. However, developer DrinkBox Studios apparently doesn’t want to stop there, as it’s now readying the release ofNobody Saves the Worldon PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
Nobody Saves the Worldis a sprawling action RPG played from a top-down perspective. In the game, players control a blank-state character named Nobody, who has a magic wand that allows him totransform into a total of 18 different forms, from a turtle and a bodybuilder, to a necromancer and a literal egg. The game also allows players to mix-and-match abilities of different forms in order to create powerful and clever combos.

Alongside these new console releases,Nobody Saves the Worldwill also receive an update on all platforms that adds local co-op to the experience. Originally, the game disappointinglyonly supported online co-opwhen it launched on PC and Xbox. This time around, DrinkBox is making sure that players can enjoy multiplayer from the comfort of their couch. The Switch version is even designed to be played in tabletop mode, with each player controlling a single Joy-con.
As with most dungeon crawler games,Nobody Saves the Worldalso cleverly encourages cooperative chaos, and playing with a friend simply means doubling the potential to unleash even more incredible combo moves. Synergizing moves between co-op partners has always been one of the biggest selling points ofdungeon crawler games, andNobody Saves the Worldclearly deserves to be getting the same treatment.
