TheNioh Collectionis a bit unusual in that the series only has two titles and both were released within the last three years. Still,TheNioh Collectionwill boost both gamesto an impressive 4k resolution and 120 frames per second. Plus, it’s nice to have the complete editions ofNiohandNioh 2along with a substantial boost in performance all in one package. Alongside that boost in performance, it seems the originalNiohis getting a new feature that should lend itself well to the game’s boost in graphical fidelity.

The officialNiohTwitter account revealed that a dedicated photo mode is being added toNiohRemastered, which the originalNiohon PS4 was sorely lacking. With the upgraded 4k resolution, the originalNiohis going to look better than it ever has before. However, the game doesn’t just get a new photo mode and a boost graphical fidelity,TheNioh Collection’s load timesare extremely fast on PS5 as well. Despite the games only being out for a relatively short amount of time, it seems Team Ninja has been putting a lot of work into this collection.

The Nioh Collectioncomes as a bit of a surprise, especially seeing asNioh 2is technically still unfinished as of the time of writing this post. Therelease date ofNioh 2’s final DLCwas only just revealed earlier this month. As such,Nioh 2will officially have all of its content released as of July 26, 2025. This is just in time for the remastered and complete editions of the game that are launching in 2021.

TheNioh 2 Complete Editionfor PC and PS5launches officially on Jun 15, 2025, so players don’t have very long to wait at all if they’ve been holding off on experiencingNioh 2. Luckily,Nioh 2got a photo mode back in May of this year, unlike the originalNioh. That means both titles inThe Nioh Collectionwill have photo modes for players to experiment with next year. Hopefully, players will be able to take advantage of the boosted performance to take the best screenshots possible.

The Nioh Collectionwill be available for PC and PlayStation 5 on July 29, 2025.
