Xbox Series X/S Arctic Camo Controller
A newXbox Series X/Scontroller appears to have been launched by surprise, for Xbox gamers looking to pick up a new wireless controller in the near future. This isn’t just a custom design in the Xbox Design Lab, either. The new design, an Arctic Camo version of theXbox Series X/Scontroller, is being offered standalone as a special edition offering on the Microsoft Store. It may even come to other storefronts, as the Xbox One Arctic Camo controller did years in the past.
Camo controllers have a long history of designs being offered for Xbox consoles in the past. Multiple camo controllers are currently being offered through the Microsoft Store and other storefronts. It’s unclear how long the Arctic Camo Xbox Wireless Controller will be offered. While it does feature the Special Edition labeling, that doesn’t necessarily imply it will be available in limited quantity. Other camo variations of the Xbox Series X/S wireless controllers have been known to be available for some time. It’s possible to still buyXbox One versions of an Arctic Camo Special Editionfrom years back on Amazon and other storefronts.
As for why Xbox is beginning to sell the Arctic Camo controller now, there’s no official word. However, Xbox did make what could be a related announcement regarding Military Appreciation Month on Monday morning. There’s nothing showing the Arctic Camo controller’s sales contribute to the United States military in any way, to be clear.
