Dead Spaceremake fans have not had too many looks at combat, but that will soon change when a new trailer releases on October 4. Based on the teaser for this trailer, the main focus will be onDead Spaceremake’s gameplay.

Though some gorgeousDead Spaceremake screenshotswere recently shared with the public, players have yet to see polished gameplay from the EA Motive project. Early behind the scenes streams showed a look at the changes being made to Isaac as well as the updated dismemberment system that will be featured within the remake, and fans even got an early look at Isaac walking around the Ishimura. However, all of these streams featured content that was early in the development process, so it will be exciting to see what the final game will look like in next week’s trailer.

The teaser for the upcomingDead Spaceremake gameplaytrailer took a little effort to track down, as a brief ARG played out that required some investigative work from gamers. As reported by MP1st, the teasers began with a Tweet from the official Motive account, which Twitter users eventually learned was a QR code. After it was scanned, players were sent to an obscure Instagram account called thebench, which is meant to resemble the USG Ishimura’s comms team.

12 different images were posted to thebench’s page, with each being a different node. The first node has already been unlocked, and serves as a story on the Instagram page’s profile. After a brief video that shows an inventory with 12 slots - suggesting that gamers can unlock 11 more “items” in the lead-up to the game’s 2023 release - the teaser for the gameplay trailer plays. Though it is unclear how the other nodes will be worked on, this viral campaign is a fun way to build hype intheDead Spacecommunity.

MP1st’s official YouTube channel uploaded the teaser video for this upcoming trailer, though there is not much that can be made out. A terrifyingNecromorphcan be seen lurking in a hallway and Isaac is shown walking through the door, with the final shot seeing the engineer readying his plasma cutter. It is then that the October 4 release date for the gameplay trailer is unveiled, letting fans know that they are just a few short days away from seeing the remake in action.

Withpromising comments from EA Motive aboutDead Spaceremakerecently being shared, and confirmation that the game will have no loading screens, things are looking up for the franchise. Hopefully, the gameplay trailer and the rest of the marketing campaign prove to be just as fun as this initial QR code hunt.
