While it makes plenty of important improvements,Spider-Man: Miles Moraleskeeps many of the best parts of its predecessor intact. This includes a standout photo mode, something that oneSpider-Man: Miles Moralesplayer recently used to create a particularly cool screenshot.

Fans of theMarvel’s Spider-Manseries have taken full advantage of the games’ photo modes to create some stellar shots. One fan has remade theteam-up shot fromSpider-Man: No Way Home, while others have recreated sequences fromSpider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Considering that players are always in control of Spider-Man or one of his allies in the Insomniac games, players never get to see what the wall-crawler looks like from an enemy’s point-of-view. Fortunately, Redditor AnonDooDoo has provided this angle via photo mode, and it looks incredible. In the image, players see aRoxxonsoldier’s weapon up close through a first-person perspective, with Spidey swinging in to take out the enemy.

The nighttime setting of the image is particularly gorgeous, as the moon can be seen in the upper corner of the image. The moonlight perfectly reflects off Spider-Man and the Roxxon soldier’s gun, while snow can be seen falling from the sky. With the streetlights and shop signs ofNew York Citymaking the shot look even better, it is not too surprising that the community has had such a positive response to the screenshot. Thus far, it has brought in over 3500 upvotes, with more likely to come.

In the comments, players like ItsMrDaan were quick to point out how detailed the gun held by the Roxxon soldier is. This is interesting, as the weapons are unlikely to ever be looked at up close by players as they swing through the city and fight crime. Despite this,Insomniac Gameschose to make fully detailed weaponry with a red dot sight and finished textures, something that clearly reflects the developer’s eye for detail. The Roxxon enemy’s outfit is also fully textured, and it is fun to see the details up close through the first-person perspective. On top of a clever angle being used for the screenshot, the post title reflects how intimidating Spidey looks in the photo. With so much care put into the shot, the fan deserves all the praise they are getting for their post.

The standout image is a great example of how much can be done withphoto modes in video games. WithMarvel’s Spider-Man 2not coming until 2023, fans of the wall-crawler will have plenty of time to capture great shots in the original game andSpider-Man: Miles Morales.
