Summary

Kohei Horikoshi did agreat job with theMy Hero Academiaseries, featuring fleshed-out characters that add much-needed depth to the tussle between the heroes and villains, who have contrasting ideals of justice, chaos, and how society should be run. While heroes are celebrated for their bravery and achievements, there are moments when villains exhibit unexpected acts of heroism.

Sometimes, these acts may be directed towards their own or to help the heroes get past a hurdle, and it implies that even some of the evil characters who want to see the downfall of societal order have a moral compass of some sort.

5Twice, Himiko Helped Take Down The Shie Hassaikai

They Were Crucial In That Decisive Battle

The dynamic duo of Twice and Himiko were assigned to Overhaul and the Shie Hassaikai by Shigaraki because of their alliance. However, they proved to be useful to the heroes during theirattack on the Shie Hassaikai, not because they suddenly developed a moral compass but as a way to kill two birds with one stone.

They helped take down Mimic and gave up Overhaul’s location, hoping that the Shie Hassaikai and the Heroes would annihilate each other, killing two birds with one stone. Gentle Criminal and La Brava in My Hero Academia

4Gentle Criminal Protects La Brava

Even A Criminal Cares About His Beloved Subordinate

La Brava looked up to Gentle Criminal because he inspired her to stand out in a world that did not care about people like her. Gentle took her in when she came to him because she had no one else to turn to, even though he was a criminal. They committed crimes together, but he also gave her a life to look forward to.

Following their attackon U.A. High School and their subsequentdefeat at the hands of Deku, Gentle Criminal decided to take the blame upon himself to stop La Brava from being persecuted, too, as she is just a little girl.

Twice’s Quirk’s Weaknesses

3Twice Goes Beyond Plus Ultra For Himiko

A Genuine Moment Of Selflessness

Twice’s quirk caused himto have a dissociative disorder, and shortly after, mental instability followed suit. He lost his identity and could not tell if he was the original or a clone, and it made him seclude himself. Joining the League of Villains gave him many friends whom he would go to battle for and a special person in Himiko whom he developed feelings for.

When she was put in a life-or-death situation at the hands of the Skeptic Puppets, Twice overcame his trauma and broke his mental limit, creating an army of clones to help him save her. He was not going to lose one of his loved ones, not without giving it his all to stop it.

Akaguro Chizome (Stain) talking to All Might in My Hero Academia

2Hero Killer Stain Saves Midoriya

The Hero Killer Turned Hero Savior

Everyone knowsStain is not innately evil, but he is guided by twisted ideals that see him kill and harm a lot of Pro Heroes during the duration of the story. He only acknowledges All Might and Midoriya as true heroes, as they embody the selflessness he believes is necessary for all heroes to possess.

Heroes who are mainly motivated by selfish reasons are put to the sword, but he does not rule out helping the genuine ones in their moment of need, as evidenced by when he took off to save Deku from imminent danger despite being in police custody. As the story progressed, Stain eventually leaned towards the side of the heroes in their constant battle against the League of Villains.

They Gave Outcasts A Place To Stay And A Reason To Keep Living

People who are not privileged enough to be saved by society and its heroes need a guiding light of some sort, and even though the League eventually influences them towards a life of crime, they get to experience bonds that they never would have felt. Although not all of them share those feelings, minds like Himiko and Twice care for each other and will put themselves at risk to help one another.
