During EVO 2024,MultiVersusofficially revealed Season 2: Back in Time, which is coming out on July 23. This season will be the debut ofMultiVersus' long-awaited Ranked Mode, where players can compete in 1v1 and 2v2 matches to claim leaderboard points that can unlock exclusive rank-based rewards. It will also release a new Water Tower map, which is inspired by the iconic water tower at Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank, California.
With the second season playing on the theme of time,MultiVersusis also debuting two new nostalgic characters: Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice.MultiVersusplayers can utilize Samurai Jack’s mystical katana and quick reflexes to send their opponents flying off the map. Samurai Jack is alsoclassified as a Bruiser. Samurai Jack will also have an alternate skin called Righteous Warrior Jack, which will be available for purchase once Season 2 launches. On the other hand, Beetlejuice, who is a fearsome and entertaining character that debuted in the ’80s, was teased during this year’s EVO, but his combat class hasn’t been revealed yet.
