The very firstMortal Kombatgame released May 13, 2025, kicking off one of the gaming industry’s longest-running fighting game franchises. That also makes 2022 the year ofMortal Kombat’s 30th anniversary, an event that hasn’t been very loudly celebrated by Warner Bros. Interactive or NetherRealm Studios. The publisher and developer may still have plans in store, however. A leaked product on Amazon confirmed that there’s an upcomingMortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Ultimate Bundlebeing made.
The leaked product appeared on Amazon first and was initially reported on by YouTube channel TrueUnderDawgGaming. A screenshot revealed a retail listing forMortal Kombat: The 30th Anniversary Ultimate Bundlefor the PS5, with a surprisingly low price of £29.99. The bundle includesMortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, a copy of theMortal Kombatfilm from 2021, and an exclusive Steelbook box. A tentative release date for the product, which will likely also release for PC and Xbox platforms, is listed as June 05, 2025.

A positive takeaway from the discovery of theMortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Ultimate Bundleis that it’s indicative of plans yet to be announced byWarner Bros. and NetherRealm.Mortal Kombatfans have been worried that the anniversary would go by without mention. This is clear evidence to the contrary. Whether there will be a biggerMortal Kombatevent filled with more announcements remains to be seen, but at least something is coming.
There’s absolutely a negative attitude toward this confirmation within theMortal Kombatcommunity, too. NetherRealm and WarnerBros. have said very little about the 30th anniversary so far, so fans are naturally skeptical. Then this bundle appears, which includes a game thatMortal Kombat fanslikely already have and a movie they likely already watched. Essentially, it’s not something exciting for dedicatedMortal Kombatfans.
WhileMortal Kombatfans may be cynical about the new product leak, theMortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Ultimate Bundlewill prove an excellent entry point for more casual fans or those who have yet to purchaseMortal Kombat 11. Having this product available is optimal if there are biggerMortal Kombatannouncements to come in the future, whether it be a new movie, aMortal Kombatsequel, or otherwise.
For the time being, there’s no indication of when theMortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Ultimate Bundlewill be announced. If the late September release date is accurate, however, an announcement should be coming relatively soon. Fans should keep an eye on the Warner Bros. andNetherRealm social media channelsuntil then.
Mortal Kombat 11is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
