Mortal Kombat 11is set to launch its bigAftermathexpansion in just a few days time, and so NetherRealm has been releasing new trailers for the new DLC characters. New Fujin and RoboCop trailers have already been released, and so NetherRealm has now released a trailer for Sheeva, the third and final new character coming to the popular fighting game as part ofMortal Kombat 11: Aftermath.
Sheeva was already featured in theMortal Kombat 11base game, seen during some of its cut-scenes. However, theAftermathexpansionwill make her fully playable, giving fans the chance to obliterate their opponents as the Queen of the Shokan. Sheeva looks to be bringing with her a particularly brutal and hard-hitting move-set, which should pair well with theMortal Kombat 11’s over-the-top action and violence.

It will be interesting to see if Sheeva plays a significant role in theMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathstory. Anyone that wants to experience theMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathstory and add Sheeva to their roster will have to purchase theAftermathexpansion, but there is free content coming toMK11as well. On May 26,Mortal Kombat 11players can download a free update that will add new stages,Stage Fatalities, and Friendships - the friendly opposite of the game’s infamous Fatalities.
Those that do purchase the paid version of theAftermathexpansion will get all of the free stuff as well as the story, Sheeva, Fujin, andRoboCop. TheMortal Kombat 11: Aftermathexpansion price is $39.99, so it is a little steep, but it should provide plenty of content for fans of the game. It could really go a long way in breathing new life intoMK11while fans wait patiently for NetherRealm’s next project.
As for what’s next from NetherRealm, that’s still up for debate. It’s possible the studio will produce moreMortal Kombat 11content, maybe even release thelong-rumoredEvil DeadAsh Williams DLC, or maybe it will move on to its next game.
