New evidence has appeared in recent days in the form of a series of job openings listed online by Ubisoft Toronto, soliciting applications for several positions including Level Artist, Voice Designer, and Production Manager, in association with a “Far Cry Project.” None of the job listings include specific information about the project in question, but their appearance clearly suggests that Ubisoft Toronto is proceeding with development of a newFar Crygame.
There is relatively little information to be gleaned from the job postings, the specific roles Ubisoft Toronto is looking to fill do offer some hints about theFar Crygame that is being developed. For example, the listed responsibilities for the Voice Designer position include “Attend Voiceover and MoCap sessions,” which could indicate thatFar Cry 7will continue the series tradition of enhancing its in-game characters with compelling performances from live actors. This trend manifested most recently in the remarkable performance ofGiancarlo Esposito as Anton Castillo inFar Cry 6.
