The Seattle Mariners have a great starting pitcher rotation that players can build upon. When it comes to winning games, havinga good bullpen inMLB The Show 24can be the difference, and the Mariners have great potential with players hitting their prime or close to it. Mix in an excellent center fielder in Julio Rodriguez, and there’s a bright future to create in Seattle.

The biggest obstacle will be improving the infield, specifically at first and third base, while hoping the second base and shortstop positions continue to blossom. An all-around support system for the pitching rotation could make for a sturdy defense, and Seattle has the prospects to work with and make a move.

The Chicago Cubs struck gold in 2016 when they won the World Series, a first in 108 years, but they’ve simmered down since then. Winning the Central the following year and again in 2020, there is still hope that the Cubs can turn things around and bring glory back to the city of Chicago. Luckily, they have a few holes to fill and plenty of prospects to develop in the minor leagues.

With one ofthe better shortstops inMLB The Show 24, the Cubs have a capable infield that can mask the lack of depth at the pitching position. The Cubs are also pretty strong in the outfield, though they could afford to add some experience on the left side and bring in another heavy hitter. The Cubs are a perfect team for players looking to take on a quick rebuild, as they could be playoff-ready in a few years.

Suffering a massive blow with the loss of Shohei Ohtani, their best pitcher, and hitter, the Los Angeles Angels have the possibility of either pushing for playoff contention or blowing it up and starting over. Mike Trout is one ofthe best center fielders inMLB The Show 24, but he’s past 30 and slowing down. His worth could be what a general manager needs to rebuild and add several pieces to their team for a better future.

Their infield needs massive improvement at almost every position, except a prospect or two blooming at the right time. A prospect or two for the Angels' pitching rotation is also a priority, as it’s their biggest hole to fill. With no starting pitchers above the 80 overall mark, staying afloat in the American League will be a near-impossible task.

A good offense is always a good defense, and the Cincinnati Reds have it in abundance. The Reds have plenty of up-and-coming prospects ready to jump into the fold and help set up many years of rising in the ranks. There’s still much work to be done, specifically in the starting pitcher’s rotation and outfield, but for general managers looking to take on a more exciting rebuild that takes time and patience, the Reds are an excellent team to consider.

Elly De La Cruz and Hunter Greene are amongthe best prospects inMLB The Show 24and help set up the shortstop and starting pitcher roster spots for the extended future. General managers can either build around them through the draft or dangle one of them in front of the other general managers of the league and hope one bite and trades away a package rich in assets.

With the expertise of general managers who know baseball and some luck along the way, the San Diego Padres could become one ofthe better teams inMLB The Show 24in a matter of a few years. There’s plenty to be excited about in San Diego, from a solid right fielder in Fernando Tatis Jr. to some excellent potential at the shortstop and pitching positions. The Padres' infield looks sharp, specifically at second and third base.

With more depth in their starting rotation and retooling in their outfield to support Tatis, the Padres could become a serious threat. They’ll need some help at the plate if they want to win games and make the postseason for the third time in five years, so prioritizing a solid hitter or two without weakening the infield will set the Padres up for future success and the World Series their fans have been waiting for.
