Summary

AMinecraftfan has pointed out that only 50% of players have unlocked the achievement for opening the inventory. BecauseMinecraftBedrock Edition has 125 achievements to unlock, some players don’t have all of them, but this one may be the most unexpected omission.

AlthoughMinecraftJava Edition doesn’t feature Xbox-like achievements, every Bedrock account tracks progression this way. TheseMinecraftBedrock achievements may include crafting the first item, acquiring wood, and defeating an enemy. Depending on what is required for aMinecraftmilestone, players may unlock some achievements before others. Achievements like Free the End, Good Luck, and Remote Getaway won’t be possible until later in the game. Pointing to one of the easiestMinecraftBedrock Editionachievements, a fan has highlighted the percentage of players who have accomplished it.

Reddit user Educational-Bug-8369 recently shared a screenshot of theirMinecraftachievement called Taking Inventory. This achievement is fittingly unlocked by opening the inventory, making it one of the tasks thatMinecraftplayers may complete early on. According to the Taking Inventory achievement screen, only 50.84% ofMinecraftplayers have unlocked it as of Jul 07, 2025. Because the Bedrock and JavaMinecrafteditions track these accomplishments differently, the achievement screen suggests that 49.16% of Bedrock players haven’t opened their inventory. While it’s only worth 10 achievement points, Taking Inventory may not be a priority for some players, but it may highlight how big theMinecraftcheatingcommunity is.

With theMinecraftplayer base reaching 141 million playersin 2021, millions of fans have seemingly missed Taking Inventory. Activating cheats inMinecraftBedrock Edition allows players to use console commands to change the time of day or teleport around a Seed. Once aMinecraftplayer has chosen to cheat in Bedrock, unlocking achievements is permanently disabled. Disabling achievements for cheaters prevents players from earning them easily through cheating. In addition, someMinecraftCreative players may not access their inventory as much as Survival players which may contribute to the low achievement numbers.

BecauseMinecraftoffers Java andSteam Achievements, a portion of the community isn’t tallied as part of the Taking Inventory statistic. Given that players who simply launchedMinecraftonce are part of the overall stat, some may have barely played the game before closing it. Though it’s currently unclear if all the remainingMinecraftBedrock Edition players have used cheats, the low Taking Inventory number suggests a good chunk of them are.
