Marvel’s Spider-Man 2has plenty of villains that Spider-Man has either fought or has yet to fight throughout the game. Many ofthe hero’s previous supervillainshave actually rehabilitated, and now attempt to live a normal life in New York City. But, Kraven the Hunter prevents this from happening, as his lust for an equal has proven too powerful.

While makingNew York Cityhis jungle throughout the main campaign ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, Kraven hunts all of Spider-Man’s previous villains, capturing them and then fighting them one-on-one to find someone who can overpower the hunter. While many of Kraven’s targets were able to go into hiding and escape the grasp of the ferocious hunter, several of Spidey’s villains weren’t able to be saved, and have fallen under Kraven’s murderous hunt. Among the list of those who escaped Kraven’s deadly promise are Black Cat, the Prowler, Chameleon, and Mr. Negative.

Shocker’s cell

5Shocker

Herman Schultz

Despite many fans banding together and begging Insomniac to redo the famous scene in which Symbiote Spider-Man yells at Shocker when chasing him down (“Get back here Shocker!"). Unfortunately, Shocker is one of Kraven’s victims, and among the first characters to die at Kraven the Hunter’s hands.

While playing as MJ during the zoo sequence in which she attempts to save Dr. Connors, fans can get a glimpse at some villains that Kraven had already hunted, and what he has to say about them. Surprisingly, Kraven admitted that Shocker was tough at first, as he “was fighting to survive,” rather than to win. But, Kraven ultimately got the upper hand on Shocker, much to many’s dismay.

Vulture’s cell

4Vulture

Adrian Toomes

InMarvel’s Spider-Man, fans fight against The Vultureafter Octavius releasesseveral of Peter’s infamous villains out into the city. After Toomes was caught and thrown back into R.A.F.T.,Kraven sought out the winged villainfor a new hunt. It’s not clear when Kraven divided to hunt Vulture, but Toomes was inevitably killed by the villain without alerting Peter or Miles.

In Kraven’s recording for The Vulture, he mentions that he thought he may have a challenge, but Kraven was able to “clip his wings.” Playing through the game, fans find out that Kraven had killed Vulture during the same zoo sequence with MJ, while also being able to find Vulture’s cell when playing as Miles after Kraven kidnaps him.

Scorpion Spider-Man PS4 Cropped

3Scorpion

Mac Gargan

Scorpion isn’t the only villain that Kraven has hunted on-screen, but he is the only one of the villains that Kraven kills on-screen. After the Hunters and Kraven ravage R.A.F.T. and kidnap several of the prisoners, Kraven throws out Scorpion in a pit to fight against Gargan one-on-one. Although the Spider-Men attempted to stop Kraven from capturing so many of the villains, they were unable to continue pursuing all the Hunters as they were forced to stop and help many of the civilians who fell victim to the disastrous events of the attack on R.A.F.T.

During the fight for his life, Mac Gargan was able to land a blow on Kraven with his tail, which should’ve implemented his infamous poison. But, Kraven always prepares for his hunts and has already worked on an antidote. Kraven kills Scorpion right then and there, ending the entire fight fairly quickly. During one of Peter’s missions, fans can locate where Kraven had been testing Gargan’s armor and researching his powers.

Electro Spider-Man PS4

2Electro

Max Dillon

During the zoo mission in which players take control of MJ and attempt to free Dr. Connors before he is forced to transform into The Lizard, players locate many of the villains' belongings that were taken by Kraven after he killed them. One of the different tables features Electro’s suit, along with a recording left behind by Kraven discussing his hunt with Electro. These tables prove just how many kidnappings Kraven and his Hunters were able to get away with after they attacked R.A.F.T.

From what players can infer from this recording, is that Max Dillon was one of Kraven’s easiest hunts in New York City, as he calls Electro a “waste of time.” Despite having such an extreme power with the ability to manipulate electricity, Electro was no match for the master strategist and super-powered being that Kraven the Hunter proved himself to be.

An unfinished trophy wall with rhino, scorpion, shocker, and vulture

1Rhino (Unconfirmed)

Alexei Sytsevich

Rhino had a small roleinMarvel’s Spider-Man,and an even bigger one inMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2? Rhino had no role, but one fanfound a secret developer roomthat showcases a trophy wall that was undoubtedly made for Kraven the Hunter. The wall showcased several villains' heads on plaques, such as Scorpion and Shocker.

Right in the middle is Alexei Sytsevich’s head, which stands out much more than the others. Of course, Insomniac could’ve scrapped the entire wall due to their plans to keep Alexei alive, but if it was scrapped primarily due to design reasons, then Rhino could truly have been killed by Kraven the Hunter. After all, it makes sense for Kraven to hunt Rhino as he is much more akin to Kraven’s desire to hunt “beasts.”
