The most recently discovered glitch is a new duplication glitch that allows players to duplicate any item inACNH.
Players should note that when pulling off this dupe glitch that there is a high possibility of Nintendo patching it out very soon due to its newfound popularity. Those who want to try it out should do so as soon as possible. The current version ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsthat this glitch was performed with is version 1.2.0. Players should also note that there is a risk of losing items meant to be replicated with this glitch.

The first thing required to pull off the newACNHDuplication Glitchis an extra controller. The next thing required are two extra accounts on the player’s Nintendo Switch. Players should then move onto the island with the extra accounts.
Players will want to pick up and move both their main mailbox and the new account’s mailbox and move them as close to town hall as possible on their island and place the two next to each other. Then, players should pick up whatever they want to duplicate. This can beanything from DIY recipes, to furniture, and even crafting materials. Caught animals such as bugs and fish can also be replicated. As long as it can be mailed, it can be duplicated.
The next step is to mail the items to the first extra account’s mailboxthrough the airport. Nothing needs to be written in the letter, just the package itself is fine. The items also do not need to be wrapped.
From there, players need tomake the mail spawnin the other account’s mailbox. This can be done by either leaving the game and opening it with the other account or using the resident calling feature on the Nook Phone. If using the resident calling method, players will need to have the first extra account as the leader and go in and out of a building to make sure the mail spawns.
When checking the mail box, make sure the gifts are all there, but players shouldn’t take anything yet. Instead, they need to swap the leader back to the main account and end the session.
After players spawn near their home, they will want to use theresident calling featureagain to call the first extra account. At this point, players will need to be fast as this glitch is about performing these next steps before the autosave feature starts up again.
Players should quickly switch the leader to the first extra account. Then they should quickly pick up their mail with their packages. Then, they should get to a clear place where they can open the presents and drop everything on the ground. After this players should switch the leader back to their main account and press the Minus Button on their controller and select “Pick Residents Again.” Now they should select the second extra account.
After the second extra account is brought in, players should immediately end the session. Then, the first extra account should be called once more to check their mailbox once more.If this glitch is performed correctly, the items that were inside the presents should still be on the ground while the presents themselves also exist in the mailbox. The items are now duplicated and this process can be repeated as many times as players want.
