Summary

Assassin’s Creed Mirageis a return to the series' roots with an emphasis on parkour and stealth, but occasionally players won’t be able to assassinate all of their opponents and must engage in hand-to-hand combat.

To stay alive and take down the guards of Baghdad and other adversaries of Basim, players must understand the key differences between all the enemies inAssassin’s Creed Mirage. Each enemy type has its inherent strengths and weaknesses, and even the most formidable foes can be taken down easily in unique ways.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Swordsman

1Swordsman

The Most Common Enemy

What Swordsmen lack in strength inMiragethey make up for in numbers as the most common enemy inthe streets of Baghdadand beyond. Given that players will engage in multiple bouts with these foes, knowing exactly how to beat them is going to make any playthrough easier.

The easiest way to take a Swordsman down is to master the timing on parries, as most of their attacks can be parried and any parry can be followed up with a quick and easy kill.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Spearman

2Spearman

Longer Reach And Check Hiding Spots

While Spearmen are on the weaker end of guards inMirage, they should not be underestimated as they have the longest reach thanks to their spears. Nevertheless, as long as players are proficient at dodging, and occasionally parrying, they are very susceptible to any attacks landed.

Guards are known to check hiding places while on duty, so players should always take this into consideration when infiltrating an area. This can be used to the player’s advantage by assassinating the Spearman at the very moment they check, but make sure no other guards see this.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Archer

3Archer

Weak At Short Range

Archers are fairly simple and self-explanatory inAssassin’s Creed Mirage, finding success at a distance and ideally from a vantage point. In open combat, players will simply want to rush at them and eliminate the threat of incoming arrows while they take down tougher melee opponents.

If players reach the secondlevel of notoriety inMiragethen Archers will be positioned on rooftops around the city of Baghdad, looking to take Basim down a notch.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Marksmen

4Marksman

Will Attack Enkidu

Marksmen are elite archers inAssassin’s Creed Mirageand are the ones responsible for aiming arrows at Enkidu. For this reason, players will want to scale the vantage points that Marksmen have positioned themselves upon and assassinate them.

Not only will this allow players to scan the area with their eagle again, but in the event that they do find themselves in open combat, removing the threat of a Marksman’s deadly aim will help them survive.Just like regular Archers, Marksmen are also weak in melee fights.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Captain

5Captain

Heavily Armored Swordsmen

Captains are one of the hardest enemies to beat inMirageand will cause players countless headaches if they are unable to effectively dodge and parry attacks. Armed with a two-handed sword that is even stronger thanBasim’s best sword, a Captain has incredible reach and will defend their position to the last.

As only their backs are vulnerable, players will want to dodge behind them as they attack and this is enhanced by unlocking one ofthe best Skills inAssassin’s Creed Mirage, Counter Roll, which enables players to roll over an attack to get in the perfect position.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Horn Bearer

6Horn Bearer

Will Call For Help

While Horn Bearers aren’t the hardest enemies inAssassin’s Creed Mirage, taking them down first should always be the priority given they can alert other guards to danger with their horn. Ideally, players will want to assassinate them, but if that is not possible then destroying their horn with a Throwing Knife is the next best option.

As large enemies with heavy armor protect their chests, players will want to dodge behind Horn Bearers as they attack and then hit their weak spots. Throwing Knives to their legs will also help players take down these Mace-wielding brutes, another reason why they are considered the all-aroundbest tools inMirage. Horn Bearers will also check hiding spots.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Naffatah

7Naffatah

Deadly Flame-Throwers

One of the most surprising enemy types inAssassin’s Creed Mirage, which players hopefully won’t run into until later in their playthrough, is the flame-thrower-wielding Naffatah. While rare, players will want to cleanly assassinate these foes lest they are able to unleash their deadly fire.

Naffatah can be one-shot by exploding their oil reserves on their backs with a Throwing Knife, but the noise of this will alert other guards in the vicinity. If open combat cannot be avoided, players will have to stay at a distance and then dodge behind Naffatah in the momentary reprieve from the flames.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Shakiriyya

8Shakiriyya

Elite Bounty Hunters For Notorious Players

Shakiriyya are easily the hardest enemies inAssassin’s Creed Mirage, but thankfully players will only ever have to face one at a time. This is because Shakiriyya will only hunt Basim if he reaches the highest level of notoriety, and interestingly if players can take down a Shakiriyya, they will completely reduce their notoriety.

However, given the strength of these dual-wielding bounty hunters and the fact they can’t be assassinated or surprised, lower-level players might wish toreduce their notoriety in other waysto make their assailant go away. If a fight is unavoidable, players should be ready to dodge at every moment given the Shakiriyya’s speed, and they will perhaps have to use Smoke Bombs to get off some free hits. Throwing Knives can also be effective.
