An unluckyHogwarts Legacyplayer has found a comical glitch that “turned” them into a frog during a visit to their Vivarium. While the victim of the bug was not able to understand what caused the situation, at least they recorded this unique moment and shared it with theHogwarts Legacycommunity today.

Today,Hogwarts Legacyplayer Aaronhowser1 discovered a unique glitch while walking by hispersonalized beach Vivarium. They said that they were exploring a nearby cave when the camera suddenly jumped to a random frog in the sand. No matter what they did, it was simply impossible to make the camera go back to its initial position on the main character. The player was still able to control their wizard but was unable to continue the game. In a short clip shared on Reddit, it’s possible to see the clueless frog standing idly. According to the player, they were only able to escape from this nightmare scenario by fast traveling.
Redditors were quick to make fun of the situation. User Toolsofpwnage joked that the new Animagus DLC was just released, to which others expressed that they were actually very sad because they could not practice this powerful magic in the game. In the world ofHarry Potter, an Animagus is a wizard who can turn themselves into animals at will.
Some people on the thread took some time to tell their stories withhilariousHogwarts Legacybugs. For example, one player faced a similar situation and “turned” into a bird. Another player said that this glitch happened to them a few times and that saving and reloading solves it, too.
While glitches can certainly be funny, they often ruin the experiences of players, and that’s why Avalanche Software is currently working to fix them. Recently, a player found hisattempt at a Merlin Trial completely wreckedby a ridiculous bug. During the occasion, the bug was not with the game’s screen, but with a large stone ball that got out of control and flew right into the Black Lake.
Hogwarts Legacyis out now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and a Switch release dropping July 25.
