Summary

A surprisedThe Last of Us Part 2player posts a clip of a bug that causes Abby to stand in place with her arms spread apart during an intense moment in the game. The clip itself brings a little bit of levity to the extremely dark story ofThe Last of Us Part 2.

Abby Anderson from theLast of Us Part 2is undoubtedly one of the most controversial characters in all of video games. On the one hand, many fans see Abby as a multi-dimensional portrayal of what it’s like to let revenge take over someone’s mind. These fans see Abby as an empathic character with an earned redemption arc, but another group of fans see Abby as the worst character in any video game because of what she did to a fan favorite figure from the series.

No matter where players stand on how they feel aboutAbby inTheLast of Us Part 2, one thing is clear: the clip of Abby that Reddit user Reallyslowmow posted is hilarious. The clip takes place during a dramatic part in the story right before Abby and Mel are ambushed as they leave their home base. As the two of them converse in the back of a truck, Abby is stuck in a T-pose position. The camera swings around to show Abby standing stiff as a board, with her arms stretched out and her face showing no expression at all. The conversation continues as if nothing is weird about Abby until the clip ends, right before they get ambushed.

T-posing refers to the default pose used by animators that’s used as a starting point before going into more specific movements with the model. Like any game,The Last of Us Part 2has its share of bugs, and according to some of the video’s comments, others have run into this exact glitch in the same scene. The clip doesn’t show it, but according to one commenter, Abby snaps back to normal once the group gets ambushed.

There have been rumors of a new version ofThe Last of Us Part 2specifically made for the PS5for a while now, though there has been no confirmation from Naughty Dog. If the rumors are true, perhaps this T-pose bug gets fixed in the new version - though some players may prefer if it stuck around purely because of how funny it is.

The Last of Us 2is available now for PlayStation 4.
