AHi-Fi Rushfan created their own 808 figure using a 3D printer. Known as Chai’s trusted companion,Hi-Fi Rush’s adorable robotic cathas captured the hearts of players.

Released just last January,Hi-Fi Rushis a third-person rhythm-action game that follows Chai, a 25-year-old man with a robotic arm and a music player installed in his chest, and his many allies as they explore the Vandelay Technologies campus to defeat the company executives who are trying to catch them.Hi-Fi Rush, developed by Tango Gameworks, surprised gamers aspublisher Bethesda shadow dropped it. The game has since received acclaim from players and critics alike, receiving an 89% Metacritic score for its fun gameplay and unique art style, among other factors.

Like any game with an animal companion, manyHi-Fi Rushplayers seem to be fond of the robot cat 808, who transforms into a ball to help boost Chai’s combat abilities while doing combos. One fan, Reddit user SirYak, decided to make their own 808 using their 3D printer. In a post, they shared a photo of the cat in its ball form, which some players commented that it would be a perfect vessel for a speaker or an Alexa.

ManyHi-Fi Rushplayers praised 3D-printed 808 figure, with one asking for the STL file, so they make an 808 to go with their Chai cosplay. Apart from adding a speaker, SirYak also said in the comments that they’re looking into making another 808 ball figurine, but with lights inside.

Hi-Fi Rush’s exciting gameplay and art style aren’t the only elements that have caught players' attention. As seen in the trailer, the game’s story and humorous script, which are peppered withvarious pop culture references, seem to have brought joy into players' experiences. Plus,Hi-Fi Rushhas high replay value as players can revisit the game to try out various combos and get the coveted S-tier in every track.

Hi-Fi Rushwas certainlya welcome change for Tango Gameworks, a company that’s known for creating horror titles such asThe Evil Withinseries, as it showcased what the video game developer could do when tapping into different genres and styles.
