For a while now different snacks, sodas, and energy drinks have been teaming up with video games to help promote one another and the pairing usually rewards gamers for consuming these stereotypical snacks.Mountain Dew and Doritosare usually the go-to meme combination for gamers but Microsoft is sticking with Monster Energy again for the launch ofHalo Infiniteand today has revealed what in-game rewards fans can earn by drinking said energy drinks.

Years ago,Halogames would be partnered up with Mountain Dew for a line of soda called Gamer Fuel which would feature Master Chief on marketing material to promote whatever new flavor Pepsi-Cola rolled out for the upcomingHalogames. Eventually, Microsoft filled the gaps betweenHalolaunches with other games on Gamer Fuel likeForza Motorsport. However, Microsoft shifted gears on itsHalobeverage promotion by partnering with Monster Energyfor the release ofHalo 5: Guardiansand is sticking with the energy drink for the franchise’s next title.

Halo Infinitehas enjoyed its ups and downs throughout 2020 but, unfortunately for 343 Industries and Microsoft, it’s been mostly downs. After pushing the game to 2021, 343 Industries made a huge shift in the development team and brought in long-timeHalowriter and director Joseph Staten. The gaming world is hoping that moving Staten to a leadership role within 343 Industries will help getHalo Infiniteon the right track.

Halo Infiniteis scheduled to release in 2021 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
