Of the many promising titles set to release next year,God of War Ragnarokis one that many fans are particularly excited about. The previousGod of Warinstallment which launched back in 2018 turned quite a few heads within the gaming community, largely due to its more sophisticated tone and characters.God of War Ragnaroklooks to continue in that fashion, but one fan has shared a glimpse of what an integral character from the originalGod of Wartrilogy would look like inGod of War Ragnarok.

For how much attentionGod of War (2018)has received since its initial release, it’s important to remember just how much influence the originalGod of Wartrilogy had on the gaming industry.God of War 2remains one of the highest rated PS2 games of all time and is populated with a littany of memorable characters and moments; one such character being Kratos' younger brother Deimos.

An Instagram user named martin_sancal has managed to create an incredible statue depicting what Deimos would look like inGod of War Ragnarok, and the attention to detail is absolutely incredible. The user manages to perfectly emulate the style of the newerGod of Wargames while also showing Deimos as older, with the redesign being fairly reminiscient of the current character design ofKratos.

While Deimos' last in-game appearance was inGod of War 2, given Kratos' current relationship with his sonAtreus, it’s interesting to think about what interactions between the three of them could have potentially looked like. In truth, there’s still a lot of Kratos' history that Atreus just isn’t aware of yet, so maybe Kratos will bring up Deimos at some point duringGod of War Ragnarok.

Despite everything that has been shown off already, there’s still a lot aboutGod of War Ragnarokthat remains unknown. The ending of the previous game left a lot of room for interpretation, including the mystery of who blew the horn to summon the World Serpent while Atreus was sick - a mystery thatGod of Wardirector Cory Barlog teases fansabout quite a bit.

In any case, it will be interesting to see whatGod of War Ragnarokwill ultimately look like once it releases. With the induction of new characters such as Thor andTyr, as well as access to all nine realms, there’s sure to be much more depth to the game than what was presented in the previous entry in the series.
