A newGenshin Impacttrailer shows off Eula’s poise and graceful combat. Eula is set to release tomorrow after Zhongli’s banner comes to an end.
Like most five-star characters that have released forGenshin Impact, Eula was first revealed via leaks. Just before Version 1.4 dropped, well-knownGenshin Impactinsiders dropped information revealing the fullcharacter designs of both Eula and Yanfei, who is a four-star Pyro character currently running on Zhongli’s banner.

Eula hasn’t released yet, but all of her presumed information is online for fans to see and use to plan ahead, such as her Ascension materials, Constellations, and Passive Talents. Of course, some of this information could change when she releases tomorrow, but insiders have been mostly on the money when it comes to leaked character information.
TheGenshin Impactdemo, titled “Eula: Flickering Candlelight,” opens up to Eula breaking out into disciplined dance moves, showing off the graceful etiquette that influences her fighting style. The trailer then transitions into theSpindrift Knighttaking on her enemies, and showing off the many moves that fans have unfortunately already seen thanks to leaks.
Eula’s talents are focused on her abilities as aCryo/claymore character, and she’s the first five-star to have this combination. Eula’s Elemental Skill is Icetide Vortex, which adds Cryo DMG to Eula’s swift attacks as well as stacks Grimheart. Grimheart increases her RES to interruption and her DEF. Upon consuming stacks of Grimheart, surrounding opponents' Physical RES and Cryo RES decreased while Eula unleashes Cryo DMG.
Her Elemental Burst, on the other hand, is called Glacial Illumination. The attack deals Cryo DMG to nearby opponents and creates a Lightfall Sword that follows Eula around for 7 seconds. The Lightfall Sword later descends and explodes, unleashing Physical DMG on nearby enemies.
The ending of theGenshin Impacttrailer has caused something of a controversy between fans. As Eula finishes her dance, she catches Amber watching her and invites her to dance. Some fans have taken this to mean that Eula could be gay, especially because Amber can be heard panicking in the Japanese version of the trailer, while others defend that this is just a friendly encounter. This wouldn’t be the first timeGenshin Impacthas hinted toward gay relationshipsin the game.
Additionally, some JRPG fans may recognize Eula’s Japanese voice actress, Rina Sato, who’s known for playing the role ofMakoto inPersona 5. She has quite the resume under her belt in both anime and video games, but she’s certain to impress fans as a veteran of the poised leadership personality.
Eula’s banner drops tomorrow, May 18, at 6 PM server time.
Genshin Impactis available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
